Double Digit Multiplication With DOUBLE Shape Prompts: A new Strategy
A NEW Multiplication strategy to help students who have struggled with the order of multiplying double digit numbers. A combination of 2 Shapes are used (instead of just 1 shape) to help prompt the student of which 2 numbers to multiply for each step. This is the missing prompt that have helped many of my special education students become independent FINALLY with double digit multiplication. It is not the answer for all struggling students but it certainly was a huge help for my more visual learners. There are 3 levels of worksheets that allow for a progression of regrouping. 20 worksheets in all and answer keys included. Please see preview for clarification. Blank Template included!
